The Red Fort

Entrance to the Red Fort, Leica M11 w/35mm Summilux
I couldn't recall if I had visited the Red Fort before. I've been to India enough times, on itineraries not set by me, that I can't really remember. I could be certain if I felt like hooking up an old hard drive and looking through the 26,515 images I have in that section of my library. At the moment, I've got other things to do and new images of the place, so the point is moot.

One this is for sure; I did not arrive during optimal lighting. None of my visit was optimal, really. I walked from my hotel through the streets to arrive here, and by the time I figured out how to actually get in the joint, the sun was pretty high overhead, I was tired, it was hot, and the mercury was still rising. I walked the entire grounds, searching for some angles or some less obvious interest. I went into the museum exhibits to learn more about the history.

In the end, I walked out not terribly impressed with my experience, but with a few images I was happy with. Certainly not a waste of time.
