New Work for Preservation Magazine
Earlier this year, I was contacted by the good folks at the National Trust for Historic Preservation to photograph a craftsman home in San Luis Obispo. After learning more about the assignment, I realized the house was only a block or two away from a family home I spent much of my childhood at. Small world, small town.
Pierre and Terri Rademaker were featured in this season's issue of Preservation Magazine for their work and dedication in restoring their 1915 California Craftsman house back to as close to original as possible. Over the course of time, additions and remodels had taken place to the home, but the Rademakers did everything they could to bring back to life the vision and feeling of the home as it was when first built.
During the shoot, I had a wonderful time chatting with the couple not just about all the work that went into the house, but travel, art, culture and family as well. They were gracious hosts and a lot of fun to be with. I look forward to seeing them again and sharing more stories. Click on this link above to read the full article.
