Bittersweet Ends

I stood here for fifteen minutes, watching dust devils spontaneously materialize and disappear along the Owens Valley.

The end of a trip is always a little bittersweet. There is something from these places and moments I want to take. To carry with me, as part of me. In a way, it's why I got into photography in the first place - to create reminders for myself that can take me back. Back to the big skies. Back to the thin air. The hot sun. The open horizons. Back to the fox and the stars and the playa. Back to adventure. Back to simplicity. Back to life, lived out fully.
